Legal tech and govtech founders have exactly one clearly active accelerator in this vertical right now, and it is refreshingly transparent: the Dcode Federal Accelerator charges a $5,000 one-time fee, takes no equity, makes no investment, and teaches federal sales and contracting in eight online weeks, twice a year. The rest of the category illustrates why we verify before we publish. CivStart's nonprofit accelerator has ended, with its for-profit successor offering advisory services rather than cohorts. Duke Law Tech Lab has been paused since 2022, and the LexisNexis Legal Tech Accelerator has not reported a cohort since around 2021 despite a live program page. We keep all four listed with honest status notes so a founder searching for any of them learns the real state of play here first. Where terms are not published, our pages say so instead of guessing.
