Terms in plain English
The Duke Law Tech Lab historically ran an equity-free, remote pre-accelerator for early stage legal tech companies, with prize money awarded at demo day. The program has been paused since 2022 and the last cohort ran in 2021. Current terms are not published and there is no open application. The site still says to stay tuned for a next iteration coming in 2025, which had not launched as of July 2026.
Who this is actually for
Historically, this program served early stage legal tech founders working on access to legal services. Until a relaunch, founders can read the team's published justice tech ecosystem research, and companies selling to the federal government can consider the Dcode Federal Accelerator as an active alternative.
