Equity for cash AgTech & FoodTech accelerators

Four agtech and foodtech programs sit in the cash-for-equity bucket, but read the status notes before comparing terms: only Techstars Future of Food is an active cohort accelerator, investing $220,000 on standard Techstars terms for a minimum of 5% equity. The Yield Lab now writes venture checks of $100,000 to $1.5M as a fund rather than running cohorts, Food-X is retired, and the Iowa AgriTech Accelerator dissolved in 2021. If you want an equity-backed agrifood accelerator with a structured program, the practical shortlist in this vertical is one name, which is why many agrifood founders also look at generalist programs or the non-dilutive routes covered in our agtech funding guide.
